Pollinator Friendly Ames: Raise Awareness
The fourth goal of the Ames Pollinator Plan is to deliver marketing to amplify awareness of Ames Pollinator Plan. Specifically, our goal is to:
- Establish an Ames Pollinator-Friendly Planning Team comprised of Ames residents to oversee the implementation of the plan.
- Develop infrastructure to deliver the plan & accomplishments to the public.
- Celebrate pollinators & community action during National Pollinator Week.

- Use this checklist to take action today to help pollinators.
- Spread the word! Talk to your family, friends, and neighbors.
- Make your neighborhood, workplace, church, and school pollinator friendly.
- Tell your decision-makers to support strong pollinator policies.
- Support farmers and nurseries transitioning away from pesticide use.
